Who is Ophelia and the Tree??

Camila’s words:Ophelia and the tree, the band began in June 2008 with my compositions. To be honest I barely knew how to play guitar at that time, then as I did not mind to play other original songs, I just got some notes on the Internet and started to make my own songs. I found it super fun, always liked to write, then something was being pleasurable. I was mixing things that happen in my day to day with that desire to expose everything that could be saved, (hahaha). Well, I’ve done a song called “falling boy” that we do not include in our repertoire yet it is something very simple and basic. I used the character as "falling boy", but represented what I would say, to find, to seek, all that explosion of feelings. Then I sent the song to my cousin, (Gabriel Felix) current drummer of the band and he found it a nice idea. He imagined some arrangements and gave the idea to put violin, I agreed and continued making music. Around the middle of June, I went to Uberlândia, because at that time I was living in Patos de Minas (current city of my parents). Then we called Alex (bass), Fabio Bernardes BIM (acoustic guitar) and Thiago (guitar), and we did our first try. It was cool, we made the basis for many songs, but we really thought that something was missing. Then we called Rafa Rays (violin) and Bernardo Penha (piano) to make that "tadaam" (hahaha). The boys reeeally liked the idea and I confess that I was very nervous because it was the first time I sang in my life, not even under the shower I had sung before! It was all very different, but I just loved the feeling, the sounds, and I think that for the boys was the same too. Well, after 5 songs ready, we were recording. Everything was very fast, soon after the recording, we received an invitation to play at the Festival Jambolada of independent music, today is a festival with national repercussions, very well known and seen. The experience was very good, the audience loved it, I think,, hahaha. From that day on I realized that that was really what I wanted to make for the rest of my life. I wanted to sing, I wanted to be there on top of a stage and could say everything I always wanted but could not speak. Listen to the melody, and feel the words wandering in the air, with all that emotion; I was feeling it! It is something inexplicable! After that stage, we started to play gig after gig, through the cities of Goiânia, Belo Horizonte and several in Uberlândia, Governador Valadares, Cuiabá, etc..
